settings for samsung 50B550 - Blu-ray Forum

anyone have any reccomended settings for the 50B550?

Hey I also just bought this TV and will get it delivered this Friday. Let me know how yours goes for you.

As for settings, I've come across this set so far:

White Balance Settings
Red-Offset 22
Red-Gain 33
Green-Offset 25
Green-Gain 25
Blue-Offset 12
Blue-Gain 33

Picture Settings
Picture Mode: Movie
Black Tone: Off
Color Temp Warm 2
Dynamic Contrast: Off
Brightness 56 Gamma: 0
Contrast 90
Color Space: Auto
Color 53
Flesh Tone: Off
Tint G35/R65
Edge Enhancement: Off
Sharpness 10
Digital NR: Auto
Cell Light 8
HDMI Black Level: Low
Film Mode: Auto

I have the pn50b530(same as 550, but w/3 HDMI instead of 4) coming Tuesday, and found these as well. I'm going to try them.

if it's not too late, you can might be able to get the b550 from best buy and get a $100 best buy gift card for free. for $979 or so pre-tax. i dunno if thats expensive or not compared to online sites.

I just got an early Christmas present from my wife. A 50" Samsung 50B530. I am one happy camper.

I just brought mine home 3 hours ago. I've been burning it in since then.

I think those calibration settings will work for us, since everything is the same except the 550 is Grey, has a USB port, and has a 4th HDMI port.

I used these calibration settings and they work just fine, and WOW the picture is absolutely beautiful.
