Default Toshiba 51h84 Faded picture on HDMI port only

I have a Toshiba 51h84 rear projection tv and for some strange reason the HDMI port gives out a faded picture. All the other ports work great. It's not the cable or the device since I've tried multiples of those. It's got to be the tv but I don't know if there's a way to fix that besides just changing the tv video settings each time I use HDMI. I originally posted this issue over in the Magnovox $98 blu-ray player blog but realized that I should post this issue in here instead.

your tv should have different settings for each input, so when you change the colour/brightness/etc settings for your hdmi it should save that for whenever you use your hdmi...

i've got an old 57hdx82, it uses a dvi cable though and when i first hooked up the dvi the picture did look muted but i just adjusted and saved the settings and its its been fine

:/ hope that helps?
