Best Buy Pre-orders - Blu-ray Forum

Last night, I pre-ordered Uncharted 2 and Ratchet & Clank at Best Buy. With Uncharted 2, I'm supposed to be getting gold weapons. With R&C, I'm supposed to be getting some exclusive weapons.

Now, how do I get those special pre-order items honored?

I'd go into the Uncharted 2 and R&C threads, but there are a TON of spoilers in those threads that I don't want any part of.

More than likely you will get a code when you get them and you will have to download the content.

Should come with game either as a card or inside the case

So, Best Buy will be selling me a special pre-order version of these games when I go to pick them up after release?

Yup because can't use those weapons if you don't have the game so it comes when you purchase it.

I figured that, but I was wondering if BB is going to have a different SCU for those that pre-ordered vs. those that are buying on release day. Plus, the offer ends before the game is released and I wanted to make sure I completed any action required of me prior to the offer ending.

When you did your pre-order you needed to pick up one of these boxes off the shelf. The Gold Gun code is inside the box, the flip-side to the card has a scratch off that hides the code.
I think you need to go back to Best Buy and grab one. Because like you said this promotion ends before it's released. I also guarantee you that they won't have any when the game is released, and I don't think they'll have any to give out for those that didn't grab a box. I'm seeing it now, Best Buy employee " Well you needed to grab one of these boxes upon pre-order, so unfortunately I can't help you because they're all gone now".
I was over at Best Buy a few days ago and they had no more of these boxes where I found mine a few weeks ago. If you also look at the bottom of the sticker on the box it says While supplies last. So no Guarantee's you'll get one through Best Buy.

^^^^You need to grab a box. Thats how all my pre orders from best buy have worked.

There should have been a preorder box with the ticket w/code on it, inside the box...

if you preorder online when you get the game the card with be shrunk wrapped to it or inserted into the case. that is how i got the special weapon with Lost odyssey.

that is of course if they dont come back and say they are otu of stock and backordered. Then you may never get it.

So if you pre-order it online for store pick up, do you not get the special items? I'd rather not go down to the store right now. I'm lazy like that.
