The US release is region free and only $20.49 on Amazon.com though. Might be worth importing.

Picked up today from local HMV. Picture and audio quite good. Great bass on the True HD track.

Am I the only person who loves this film? It's not as good as Armageddon which is just a barrel load of fun (particularly the two Fargos - Steve Buscemi and Peter Stormare) but it's a well-crafted drama with an excellent examination of how humanity responds to doomsday in their very different ways).

It has been CONFIRMED that Deep Impact will not be released now until Jan 2010 so I can't see how you can pick it up from your local HMV! How do you explain please?

The release date on the HMV site says the 5th October, but I'm going in town tomorrow so I'll see for myself.

Oh wow! I see it says HMV exclusive on their site the same as Waterworld so they must have first release rights, although if 5th Oct is release date they shouldn't have been selling it instore as that breaks several laws. I'll check out my local HMV Monday I think - any chance of seeing the rear sleeve bud?

Sure. He's the back. Pretty much as the US release.
