Common Blu-ray Disc misspellings - Blu-ray Forum

Blu-ray Disc is certainly a catchy name, but many people have problems spelling it properly.

The following are proper terms (capitalization is important):

Format:
Blu-ray Disc

The following are not proper terms.

I don’t mind them listing it like that I've gotten some good deals by it being listed wrong.

Since people use "MAC" a lot around here, you should please also incorporate that into the sticky.

Lack of hyphens or non-capitalization is retarded to get upset about. However, putting an E at the end or calling it a DVD saddens me.

don't forget about blu ray dvd, that is a pretty commonly used term that is wrong.

Sometimes they do that just to generate more views and make their listing more accessible to more people... it's a tactic for getting search results. I'm not saying ALL the people who do it on eBay are doing that, but just that it's something to keep in mind. =D...

That's actually from Ron "They Call Me Tater Salad" White. Hey, if everyone can be so ANAL about the misspelling Blu-ray or Blue-ray or Blueray DVD or whatever, why can't I be anal over something????? LOL... After all they look just like a DVD and someone who doesn't know Blu-ray wouldn't know better anyway.
