Default Subwoofer moments that you thought should have had more or less omph!

Top Gun: Less when Goose goes to see Maverick about just hoping he graduates, when Goose closes the door to Mavericks hut the sound of the door makes the sub go off. I don't know about you but I have not heard a low frequence once in 20 years of closing doors.

I just checked that out, seems to happen when he opens and closes the door. Weird.

I'll need to think of some but yeah, lol, I know what you mean.

I've noticed cars in some movies that start up and have as much bass as a damn cammed big block, but the next scene you see the car start it sounds like a stock truck or something. Sometimes I don't understand what they're thinking when they make the soundtrack for the movie.

I just thought of one. Fight scenes when there is punching involved, sounds like they are fighting a giant drum every time a punch lands. Good ol' hollywood

There are some gunshots in movies where the gun shots seem far too strong to me. I noticed this quite often in Max Payne with just DD on HBO. I also know my sub's settings are basically right on, so I have to believe it was the way the audio was processed onto the blu.

That thought always runs through my head when I watch The Dark Knight. The punches have way too much bass.

Agreed. He must be breaking every bone in their body with the impact those punches sound to have.
