Default Sixaxis without Dualshock

Does anyone know of any places online (or Ebay sellers) who still sell the Sixaxis controller without dualshock?

I looked around for quite a while and I couldn't really find any. I found a couple on ebay/amazon, but they were more expensive than a brand new dualshock from amazon I don't really care about the rumble feature so I usually turn it off to save battery life. The new dualshock actually holds charge for longer than my sixaxis does.

Precisely. Most people prefer the added weight of the DualShock controller over that of the SixAxis (myself included). The DS just feels right, whereas the SixAxis seems too light. I'd recommend getting a DualShock and just turning off the vibration feature if you don't want to use it.

how do you turn off the rumble feature? I've been using it to play NCAA football 2010 and the cpu is causing it to rumble constantly to try to mess me up.

All of the games I've played have a setting somewhere within the options menu. I can't say specifically to NCAA 2010 as I haven't played it, but if you look through your options in the game itself there should be a way to turn vibration off (usually under controller setup / configuration).

If you press and hold the PS button you'll see "Controller Settings" in there. Click that and you can turn off rumble regardless of which game you're playing.

I'm with the original poster. I'd rather have a lighter/rumble-less controller anyday of the year.

ive got two sixaxis with no rumble, and no intention of switching, i really pay zero attention to the weight of the controler, and rumble isnt of any interest to me, but to each their own i guess

okay cool, thanks. I usually don't pay attention to where to find that stuff and it's been right under my nose the whole time.

I actually really like the lighter controller also. Not sure why.

I like my six axis, bluetooth rocks, haven't really tested its range yet.

LOL, that is to alert you when you are about to get sacked so you know they defenders are getting close and where they are coming from.

I completely forgot I created this thread. My reasons are the same as everyone else who seems to prefer the original Sixaxis. I prefer the lighter controller and find the rumble feature of controllers useless.

For racing games it helps me know when a crappy driver is trying to run me off the track cause they probably lack skill in racing without ramming. They drive like all racing games are somehow a demolition derby. If they just want to drive that way they should stick to crashing games.
