Lightbulb Which type of Christmas tree and lighting do you prefer?

Here it is September so why am I talking about Christmas trees? For one, this is "golden quarter", I love Christmas, and I find it to be interesting.

Remember, the question asks which do you "prefer". Vote on what you would like to have. Or vote with what you have if that is your bag.

Sorry, no poll option for you haters. :-p

PLEASE VOTE ON THE POLL!

I used to love Christmas and My wife LOVES the holidays. My lost love is that I work in banquets and I have come to hate Christmas parties, fun to get drunk, not fun to have to handle drunks.

Any way, We have used a fake for 6 years and a clean look. Small lights and decor. This year we are getting a real tree.

Yeah. Believe it or not, I try to make a point of stopping at Radio Shack on black Friday. They are the least busy store. Seriously, I sometimes find a nice doo-dad or something I want for cheap.

I used to work there. While I have no affection for the corporation that is no reason to let the sales people suffer.

I worked at Radio Shack for 3 years and even did the Manager training. I HATE RADIOSHACK. Oh, excuse me, THE SHACK.

They have lost their way. They don't even care about parts anymore.

True. They want to be THE cellular store in which to shop. Their cables are of good quality but outlandishly priced. I snapped up loads of them when they went disc-deval. The then 25-30 percent discount on RS brand items really brought the price down for disco-deval stuff.

Its got to be a real tree. As a matter of fact, we get 2 every year. We also decorate both ourselves with lights and ornaments, not to mention the outside lights. The problem I have, is that we just had our second child, and it's like re-discovering Christmas all over again with them. So I seem to try to "out do" myself each year and its getting to be ridiculous. But I luv to see the look on my kids face when we first turn on the outside lights or the tree lights.....it ends up being worth it!

I love black friday too....I'm looking for some good front projector deals and then I plan to pull the trigger!

My family has never had a real tree, always artificial. I haven't had a tree at all in the 2 Christmases I've owned my house. My roommate actually has a 3 foot tree in the basement that neither of us ever got around to bringing up the stairs, even though it would only take about 30 seconds. I'm not a very festive person though.

Love Christmas, but never shopped on a Black Friday.

My family always use a fake tree. The also like to decorate the exterior of the house. Nothing too fancy.

An X-mas tread in Sept...now that I think about it..it's really not far away! I've always done real trees but picked up an artificial tree last year on clearance. It's easier and you don't have to worry about needles etc. but I always enjoy the elegance of a real tree in your home for the holidays.

We have an artificial tree that already has the lights on it. Nothing beats setting up your Christmas tree the first weekend of December and not having to worry about watering the tree, putting the lights on it, or the needles falling off. I love Christmas, and I cannot wait for the holiday season.

I like to take Thanksgiving week off and plan to put up my trees the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. It stays up until January 6th or 7th. "The 12 days of Christmas."

By then, yeah, I'm sick of looking at it.
