DVI does not carry sound, so you will need a video card with HDMI. I would get a Radeon 4350, it's what I use in my media PC and it works flawlessly for blu ray playback and I get full 7.1 PCM audio with it as well. I use the gigabyte brand card, that can be had for about $35 shipped from newegg.

I have the regular version of this audio card, works well with the dvi video from my video card.

Hello,

I am having trouble with 1080p playback, the video has trouble keeping up with the audio and the audio skips a bit.

I've tried playing with Windows Media Player and Media Player Classic but both of them have the same issue.

My specs are:
Intel Core 2 Duo T9900 @ 3.06 GHz (6 MB Cache)
4.00 GB RAM DDR2
0.5 TB (x7600 RPM)
ATi Mobility Radeon HD 4670

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to fix the problem?

Any help is appreciated.

Kpkelley has provided a link to the card I'm refferring to. Don't use Windows Media Player, use Powerdvd 9 or Total Media Theater for blu ray playback. I'm playing back full 1080p just fine with no stuttering or any probelms on a Pentium D 3.0 ghz. 4 gigs of ram, Radeon 4350, Vista 64 bit Ultimate, 1.5 TB hdd, so you don't need a super powerful rig to play this stuff.

So get it and put it on your PC... I think you need the ultra version to play blu rays.
