Hi guys. Some of you know that I work in the physical therapy dept at a nursing home. One of the things that I like to do to make it more fun for our patients is to play music that they like. I use Playlist.com which gives you free access to a huge spectrum of music.
I like to play music that is more up tempo in beat and happier in mood. We are located in south Alabama, so old time gospel and old country music always go over very well, but pop and jazz from the 30's and 40's is quite popular as well. I like to use music that is at least 20 years old to ensure that even our residents with dementia (memory loss) will feel some connection to the music. I'd love some more suggestions of what to add to my playlist. The playlist I am currently using is linked below. http://www.playlist.com/playlist/2193048587 |
