Default Transformers - The Movie (1986)?

... not (!) the 2007 one! That'll surely come ...

Any inside info on when / if the 1986 animated version is gonna be released?

There's a nice 2 DVD Collector's Edition Tin Box at Amazon, but only on DVD.

Great, now I have that song "The Touch" stuck in my head! Long live Stan Bush!

I was 11 when this movie was out and even back then I saw it as nothing more than a 2 hour toy commercial introducing the new characters.

Ahhh, good times, gooood times.

Do you think the bass is drowning out my vocals?

I would buy Transformers: The Movie (1986) in a minute if it came out on Blu-Ray. I wouldn't be surprised if we see around the time the new movie makes it to Blu-Ray since the 20th Anniversary DVD is a Sony/BMG release!!!!

I was 5 when the movie came out. But i remember thinking, what happened to all the transformers. Half of them disappeared(Omega Supreme, Aerialbots, stunticons etc..) then there are all of a sudden new ones i've never seen suddenly show up.
Well, i still loved the movie and I would buy it on bluray. Stan Bush on 24 bit / 48 kHz uncompressed PCM Audio !!!!!

I wonder how many people got that reference

This was the first movie I cried at. Just look at all the characters that died= Optimus Prime, Ratchett, Starscream, the cool gun version of Megatron, I mean this was a holocaust in the toy world.

Now if you'll excuse me I'll be in the corner in a fetal position trying to get over this resurfacing horror in my life.

I get the reference on that one, but wasn't it hilarious seeing his buddy dancing to the music through the recording room glass

I wonder if there will ever be a Tele-tubbies movie 10-15 years from now?
I'm sure it will be hailed as the best movie ever made and you will know how many of us older posters feel. Sorry, I had to get that out and I do feel better. Continue with your adulation, I'll be quiet.

I'm glad the joke wasn't wasted. Yes, the better part would be his sidekick in the sound booth jamming!

I think Ultra Magnus said that. I don't recall Optimus swearing.

I own the 2 disc SE 20th anniversary on DVD but I would definitely buy the blu-ray and cant wait for the current Transformers movie on blu-ray.

For those that saw both Transformers the Movie(1986) and Transformers(2007) SPOILERS AHEAD: didn't you cringe when Optimus said the line "One shall stand and one shall fall"? That line brought back memories, oh the nostalgia.

"The Touch," lol I used to like that song alot, lol

God I feel old. I was in college back then. I know nothing about the transformers from the 80's . Although the movie that is out now was pretty good.
