just watched 2001: A Space Odyssey for the first time

I just watched 2001: A Space Odyssey for the first time and......................... I loved it. Being that I'm young, I don't always identify with movies from older generations, yet there are a lot of older films I love. But I truly didn't know how I was gonna feel about this film, being that it's a Kubrick film and I've heard a lot of negative things over the years. But man, I really liked this movie! I didn't even know how I felt about it half way through, or even almost towards the end. But once it ended, I kinda flash backed the entire movie and I just started to love it.

Even as the minutes pass since I've just finished it, it keeps growing on me. Now I can't wait to see this again, but I don't want to ruin it for me (I can't watch a movie too many times in a row or it kinda ruins it for me). I wish I could've seen that movie in the theaters back in the day, that would've been a cool experience. I'm gonna wait a while to watch it for the second time, maybe wait for a rainy winter day, but I can't wait to see this again. I'm throwin this in with my next Amazon order, can't beat $9.50 for a masterpiece.

Anyways, just felt like sharing! How did you like the movie your first time seeing it? And did it take multiple viewings to like it? Or do you like it at all?
