Amazon.com and preorders? - Blu-ray Forum

Does anyone know if Amazon.com gets your preorders to you on the day of release? Will I have to wait a few days after release for a preorder?

I believe they ship the new releases the same day. So I get my new releases almost a week after release date. I just use free shipping.

Nah. Wife ordered a BR for my bday and it ships this week.

i ordered van helsing as a pre-order and got it on Thursday when it was released on Tuesday.

I also pre-ordered The Big Bang Theory Season 2 on dvd and got that on Wednesday when it was releasedon Tuesday.

but these were both a/amazon prime and it's free 2 day shipping.

Personally, I don't need anything that bad, but my wife did order Sims 3 with a pre-order and we received it on the day of release.

We are Prime users and most stuff gets to us within one business day. I've noticed te warehouses we get our stuff shipped from are in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, North Carolina, or Kentucky.
