Default Netflix is confusing as hell

Hey I went to the netflix site and tried to sign up for a free-trial for renting blu-ray titles but it only mentions DVDs.. where is the plan for blu-ray titles? Are they trying to hide something???? Why??? lol

You can upgrade to blu-ray once you're a member. It's like a buck more per month.

The option is pretty easily accessible in your Netflix account.

Blu-ray access is a separate surcharge.

And once identified on your profile, it selects them as default every time you choose a title, unless you'd like to switch any title on your queue back to DVD by pull-down menu.

(And can't imagine Hell as being that comparatively confusing, as they also seem pretty straightforward as is. )

Wow you guys respond like in 30 sec, so quick lol. Thanks for that.

Well I don't want DVDs and I don't want free-trials. How do I go about just immediately apply for blu-ray titles? Do I need to call to get this taken care of? The website doesn't seem to give me such an option.

I'm pretty positive it's $4 more. If you're not interested in the online instant streaming then Blockbuster online is a better deal (they don't charge extra for Blu-Ray).

It's a dollar per movies in plan. If you have the one at a time plan, it's one dollar. If you have the four at a time plan, it's four dollars.

Was only a buck more under my plan (one at a time, unlimited rentals per month). Other plans may be more if you have more movies out at once.

Ok that makes sense to me now.. so basically I'll have to upgrade from the dvd free-trial plan huh.

I get 3 at a time with blu-ray access for around $20 a month, it's well worth it.

Just use blockbuster, Im pretty sure you get a free trial with blu ray access, becuase Blockbuster dosent charge extra, and generally has a bigger stock of Blu ray titles

We have the 3-at-a-time plan and the blu-ray charge used to be only $1 extra per month. I guess it was in the last couple of months they raised the blu-ray charge to what is posted above. It's kind of aggravating, but if you rent enough movies it's still well worth it IMO. The streaming movies/shows are nice too if you take advantage of them.

Blockbuster's selection is subpar. Netflix has way more movies.

I've never even looked into Blockbuster. Besides I don't want to have to go back to Netflix after Blockbuster goes out of business.

Seriously though, they don't charge you extra for blu-rays? And do they offer instant streaming? No streaming would be a deal breaker because we use that a lot.

Ive had way better luck getting the blu ray movies I wanted to see from blockbuster than netflix. Netflix's blu ray quanity is quite low , Alot of my movies sat in long wait for long periods of time. and the $4 or $3 extra charge for nothing at all, and not getting the movies I wanted, was just rediculous.
