Gladiator Will Not Play Since Latest PS3 Update - Blu-ray Forum

Put in Gladiator tonight and it will not play on PS3 slim. I have the latest firmware update. The movie played fine on PS3 slim on the day it was released. Anyone having the same problem?

I have checked everything, firmware is latest version. So no problems there. The olive branches come up on screen while the movie is loading and then nothing....

People have been having problems like this since Gladiator first came out (same applies for Braveheart) - go to the Video / BD Data section on your PS3 menu, and delete the Gladiator entry, and then reload the disc. It should work after that I believe.

I didnt have the problem but the DISK did take a while to load...For a second I thought it wont work...it took about 2 minutes to load.

You can also disconnect your internet/shut down your router. That worked for me.
