Default Pioneer PDP-5020FD or Panasonic TC-P50G10?

Hello Everyone. I am upgrading my TV which I play all my blu's and watch all TV and sports. I have narrowed down my search to these 2 TV's, both plasmas as in my opinion the picture is better. The trick is, the Pioneer is a display model at best buy and the panasonic would be new. What do you think? Or am I way of and should get a LCD?

I have a 5020 & f-ing love it. I'd take the 5020 over the G10 any day of the week.

Do you think it matters that it has been a display model? I don't know how long it's been on display either if that matters.

I'd go with the 5020FD...deeper blacks and it doesn't have the greenish tinge to it. You will also get proper 24p performance. The Kuro is a no brainer. I wouldn't worry about the display time so long as it doesn't have any burn-in and they offer the full warranty. Best Buy right? The warranty should be valid since they are an authorized Pioneer dealer.

It's listed at $1700.00 and they do offer the full waranty. They also said I could return it within 30 days for full refund or exchange for another tv if I wasn't happy with the performance.

So bad news guys! After everyone's input I decided to buy the Pioneer but upon arriving at best buy and looking for it, it was GONE! So I am back to ask everyone what I should do now. I did see the Panasonic P50G10 and it was very impressive but I also saw a Sony KDL-52XBR9 which looked incredible as well. So I am back asking everyone's help to decide between these two amazing TV's. Thanks

Provided you have a room that will allow for a plasma, by all means take the G10 over the XBR9. The technology is great in the Sony, but in terms of performance, black levels, motion, and price point the Panny should be a no-brainer as well.

I have sliding glass windows across from where the tv will be hung on the wall, I guess that doesn't matter anymore as the Panasonic has anti-glare screen but the Sony would eliminate that completly. I guess I am still in a bind. In terms of picture for Blu-rays which would be better? That's what it is going to come down to.

The V10 is better than both the G10 and the XBR9. Your best option is to order a Pioneer KRP-500M instead. HERE's one from the seller I bought mine from with the stand included. I got mine for $1700 shipped, but he's offering them now for $1600 shipped. There are some other good sellers on ebay offering them too. If you are going to spend the money you might as well get the best set available. Oh yeah..these sets are very good at eliminating glare and preserving black under lights by the way.
