Are you interested in in wall or regular speaker wire?
In either case, I suggest you go to monoprice.com. For normal runs (<100 ft) 12 or 14 gauge will do just fine. I use Monoprice 12 gauge CL2 rated in-wall speaker wire for my dedicate runs in my HT. I bought a 250' spool (http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2) and used every inch! I have a 7.1 setup, with the L/C/R bi-wired. I have faceplates on the wall at each speaker position. I connect my speakers to the faceplates with 12AWG low voltage lighting wire sold at the home improvement stores. I use it because it has lots of strands and is also black and doesn't show up.
