Will a Sony BDP-s350 play DVD Audio or SACD? - Blu-ray Forum

I own a Sony BDP-s350 and I'm wondering if supports either SACD or DVD Audio formats. I looked on line and found some saying "yes, it does" and some saying "no, it doesn't". If anyone knows the answer, please let me know!

Unfortunately, the Sony BDP-S350 does not support those two formats.

None of Sony's standalone Blu-ray players support either SACD or DVD-Audio. (Sony has never supported DVD-Audio, since it was SACD's competitor.)

Panasonic's old BD10 would play DVD-Audio, but none of their Blu-ray players since it have supported DVD-A. Early PS3's supported SACD, but it's been a while since new PC3's would play SACD. The only Blu-ray players that do both SACD and DVD-Audio at present are the OPPO BDP-83 ($500), the Denon A1 ($4500), and Marantz 9004 ($6000). There are a few more coming soon (Lexicon BD30 and Theta Compli Blu that are both BDP-83 clones, plus a Cambridge Blu-ray player for around $750). This page has a pretty good list of SACD-compatible Blu-ray players, including a few I didn't mention above but leaving off the Theta.

Hey, thanks for the info! It's appreciated. I guess I'll have to live with standard CD Audio. Oh well, I've gone 20 years with CD's. I think I can make it a little longer. Haha.
