Is the Star Trek Next Gen box set available for pre-order in Aussie yet? Ezydvd only has the single releases.. NZ doesnt have anything lol

Not yet, but if it's anything like the TOS set JB will probably have it. I'd guess it'll retail for around $100. Then again, with the way the dollar is it costs a little over $65 AUS to import from Amazon so that's a pretty good option.

Almost twice the price as the US release

I ordered this from Amazon and have it already. It only cost me about $55 Aussie including postage. In addition it's in the slim line cases (as with the original collection which I also ordered from Amazon). It's less than half the width of the Aussie release !! Great for storage !! In addition the Australian release just has a picture of the Enterprise on the box where the US edition has a holographic version. The discs are region free.

The original box set I got for Aust $90.00 including postage where it was selling here for $199

It's about time we got the benefit of importing for once. Now that the dollar is better there are some great deals overseas. Got the Blade Runner 5-disc set for $34 and it's here in Australia for $90.
