Default I am upgrading my receiver and I am stuck between two and I can't decide HELP!

Hello Everyone! I am a new member here and this is my first post. After some deliberation I decided to upgrade my receiver. I am stuck between these two receivers: Yamaha RX-V2700 and the Harman Kardon AVR-3600. All suggestions and any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Both good but both overpriced for what you are getting IMO, look at Denon, marantz, Pioneer or Onkyo. You get more for the money with those receivers.

What is your Blu-ray source--I don't believe the Yamaha decodes HD audio. What is your budget?

My budget would be under $1000.00, that's where I would like to stay. My blu source is a sony s-350 which has worked perfectly so far. Any specific receiver I should look at?

Hey guys I am still stuck. Thanks for the suggestions of the other brands but I really like these 2. From the features to the looks of them. I can't make a decision. Any suggestions? Or should I just look at others?

Okay, so given the choice between these two, my answer is the Harman Kardon. The Yamaha doesn't decode lossless audio, so IMO, it's out. That leaves the H/K which does decode lossless audio. It's also got an extra HDMI connector, and DCDi Farouja upscaling.
