Default Guess I will have to wait for a new Rotel receiver

I was going to buy the Rotel RSX 1550 receiver (HDMI 1.3) but with the new HDMI 1.4 spec bearing down on top of us, I'll wait. I was also looking at a new TV but I will also wait on this until they have the 1.4 spec employed. I wish for Christmas the final HDMI spec would come out so I could buy everything and not have to worry about it being yesterdays news in a year or two.

Rotel is a higher end brand like Integra, Sherwood Newcastle, NAD, their entry level equipment is not cheap. However they use good components in them and they have great amps and sound quality.

The Rotel RSX-1550, from where in Victoria, Sound Hounds?
How much they want for it?

* Why oh my why HDMI 1.4?

Do you want an extremely good deal for a receiver? HDMI 1.3 though.
Would you be interested in a top-of-the-line Onkyo receiver? Brand new? For half price?

And do you know that you can buy a Panasonic Blu-ray player with two HDMI outputs (version 1.4), and connect one to your display while the other one goes to your receiver? And you'll get the full benefit of 3D in the process?
