Sony BDP-S550 PROBLEM ! ! !

Ran into a problem about a month and ahalf ago. Turned on the 550 and it showed the blu-ray symbol, but, when it tried to switch to the player menu, it went black with tiny points of light. It was like looking up at the night sky. I unplugged for about an hour, and still got the same thing. Unplugged it for a day, and still the same thing, so, I unplugged it for a week, and it worked again after that. About two weeks later, the same thing, all over again. Unplugged it for a week and it worked again, but, about two weeks later, same problem again. So, same remedy, been working for about three weeks now, but, thinking it'll happen again soon. Problem is not the cable, or connectors, as I said, it always shows the blu-ray symbol, and when switching to the player menu is when it goes black with the small points of light ! ! ! Not much time left on my warranty, but, anyone else had this problem ?
