Win7, Snow Leopard and db Phil Schiller

So, Win7 is about to go out... Snow leopard is out.. And Apple execs are trashing Windows as usual.

This time it's a bit overboard though. Even for the Apple marketing. Phil Schiller on Windows 7.

For one, what did they expect, win7 would look become OSX? And what's up with Mac OS, with every release it looks different? I know Apple never really bothered with backwards comparability and developers in general, but what's their problem anyway.

All that while Win7 isn't out, and Snow Leopard is pretty well laden in bugs. With the infamous quest account bug being at the top.
It took apple few days to even acknowledge the problem and not clear how long till it's fixed. Still, it's always a good time to trash competitors no matter how bad your own product is...

P.S. Meanwhile, if you upgraded to Snow Leopard and deeply believe that Apple always "virtually bug and virus free" software, for now, refrain from logging on with guest account, well, don't let anyone use guest account, there's a good chance that on logoff it'll delete other users home directories. Which on Unix based systems means pretty much everything for that user.

P.P.S. There is a way to restore apparently - Restore deleted home dir. Interestingly that involves backups and long instructions, and whatever else Schiller trashing Win7 for. Oh, and all that works if time machine was running.
