Funny People Disc 2 Doesn't Work? - Blu-ray Forum

Hey

Just bought the new 'Funny People' from ASDA. Watched the movie on disc one, perfect.

Put in disc 2 for the special features. As it's a universal disc, the logo flew onto the screen, and it then played a video of Ira, George and Clark playing rugby. However, one of Universal's trendy menus should have come onto the screen like on disc one but it didnt. All I could do was watch that video OVER AND OVER AND OVER. Anybody else had this problem? Do I just need a firmware update or should I return it?

I just checked my bonus disc (hadn't looked at it or even the film yet) and mine plays fine. As you say the 3 guys are playing rugby, then the menu does come up on mine on the left (as with all Universal BD's). I'm using a UK PS3. Try a firmware update first, if that doesn't work then return the disc to Asda. I'm sure you'll have no problems replacing it with them.

Thanks for checking your disc. I have the latest firmware and it still doesnt work so I will return the disc tomorrow.

Thanks. I just got a new copy from ASDA, they didn't mind at all.

This one doesn't work either, which makes me think it's a firmware problem. However, I use a Samsung BDP1600 and already have the latest firmware. I will wait until the next one and see if that does the trick. Does anyone know when that will be?

You can never really tell when it comes to firmware updates but, you could contact them about the problem and they could speed along the process and get some new firmware out to rectify the problem with the disc

Yeah, both discs work fine on my PS3.

Happened to me too. Picked it up yesterday from CEX, and it wont work. Thought it might be just because it was second hand, so went and bought it from ASDA and had the same problem. Cant get an update as I don't have BD Live. Is there anything that can be done, as I only bought it for the extras. I don't know what model, but I've got a Samsung player, aswell.

Just got the latest firmware update for my layer, and disk still doesn't havge a menu. ****ing ridiculous.
