I love comedies, they are among my favorite genre of movies - and I'm not trying to be a cynic here, but the trailers they keep showing for Funny People on TV can't even crack a smile from me. Actually I've started to cringe at it. Maybe they're not showing the funny stuff intentionally so as to suprise everyone, but the top 3 jokes in the trailers-- 1. "Die Hard doctor", 2. "Harry Potter getting old", 3. "Grand Theft Auto in real life" are all INCREDIBLY lame.
It seems like Hollywood is like "hey, Judd, here's some millions, go make us another movie to laugh it. Get anyone from your crew that you can get... Seth Rogan, Elizabeth Banks, Paul Rudd, Jonah, your wife...whoever, oh maybe this time get your friend Adam Sandler, too." Bleh. |
