Go Bears. I love that the trailer showed 5 players, 3 of which were Bears players. I will admit though, the inclusion of the Fridge in the trailer was surprising.

Trailer looked cool but any game that doe snot have the current roster players will get crushed beneath madden's feet regardless of quality.

2k sports has a pretty solid fanbase, and you can't discount gamers wanting to play a game using all-time greats. I'm not saying it will be even with Madden in sales, but I think this game will do very well.

I picked up Madden 07 for like $15 on E-bay. Haven't gotten to play it yet. My plan is to sell it off in Korea for maybe $25 after I play with it (there are not many PS3 titles there yet, despite it being out for a month -- no football that I've seen).

I heard 07 has no Madden voice, and it cost sales dearly. What about 08?

We're all getting screwed with the new football titles as they will be running at 30 fps vice 60 fps on the X-box 360. I read that this was expected out of EA Sports since they had an extra year to play with the Xbox over the PS3, but the disturbing thing is that this also true for the All-Star Football game...something built from the ground up on both systems.

Bottom line : Game is going to look better/smoother on a system that is not supposed to be as good as the PS3...I'm bummed!

actually EA confirmed that Madden 08 will indeed be 60fps but not so unfortunately, for NCAA. Sorry dont remember exactly which game site I read this, otherwise I would post the link.

I'm preparing for football overload with this and NCAA coming out today. I'll be bringing the mighty Hokies of Va Tech with me online in NCAA whereas, I'm bummed that Tecmo Bo, aka Bo Jackson isn't in APF.

This is the article some of you are alluding to.

There will be no 60fps for ANY football game from ANY company on the PS3 this year.

That being said, I really don't think it's the end of the world and I still expect these titles to be pretty damned good.

I will say that this does annoy me and this is an unacceptable trend that just shouldn't be. I agree with with what that article says about Sony needing to try harder to meet developers halfway and then some.

Someone be sure and post impressions All Pro and NCAA College Football.

Also, please correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I hear the refresh rates on most newer hdtv's render the 30fps vs 60fps debate a mute point. Saying that the human eye will not detect much, if any difference between the 2. As long as it's smooth and the animation is good, who cares about the difference?
