No. The 3rd will be a pretty big day, but the 17th will be bigger.

Both of those release dates in November are going to hurt the wallet big time to tell the truth.

I don't know about that. Sure, there are some excellent titles for the 17th (Gone With the Wind, Star Trek, Galaxy Quest), but other than that, just a few good titles. In terms of sheer excellence in titles, I think the 3rd has it hands down.

You might be right about that (especially due to the Criterions), but in terms of straight-up sales I think the 17th will crush it. Though for some reason I thought Up and Monsters Inc were coming out the 17th, but I just checked and turns out it's the 10th. Oops.

The 17th does have some pretty huge titles besides the ones you mentioned though:

Fight Club
Clerks/Chasing Amy
Gone With the Wind
Bruno
Leon: The Professional
and ROME (so psyched for this!)

::shrugs superficially::

You know, in my opinion, I see many titles I'd rent to watch, but nothing with too much replay value in that list...

I think overall, November is going to be one of the best months. Up, Monsters Inc. and Heat on the 10th as well. Plus all the ones being mentioned so far.

Nov 3rd does look impressive. I am going to pickup up Clone Wars. I will purchase Forest Gump too when the price is reasonable and if the reviews are good.

Would love to add It's A Wonderful Life and North by Northwest, but I really want to wait until Black Friday to see what sales are going to be going on. I already have Up and Monster's Inc. on order from Amazon and I hope they lower the price to soften the blow some on Nov 10.

+1, although I may get It's A Wonderful Life.

Plus Heat on Nov 10th trumps all of those on Nov 3rd. To me at least.

Nov 17th I will be getting Leon, Fight Club, and Gone with the Wind.

Anyway, just Witchblade on 11/3 for me. I'm more looking forward to the 17th for Trek and Up.
