Part of me hopes this isn't true, part part of me likes to see a few less titles in September. Already had this pre-ordered. May make it part of a new order though to keep it from delaying all the other September goodness

It would make more sense if the delay was Nov 4th because that's a Tuesday and we all know Tuesday's are when movies are released.

Regardless, I don't mind a delay. I just don't want to see Kill Bill cancelled.

I'm comfortable with this delay.

Maybe it's just your pigeon English, but from your post I got: Oh, If this is delayed, there's still the UK version. To which I have replied: This IS the UK version that's been delayed. Ya dig?

I have them on order from amazon.co.uk... so far no e-mail. They are still listed as 15th. September.

I would not be surprised though... these titles have been bumped more times than a dodgem car.

HMV.co.uk had them listed for sept 15th, then i was checking randomly one day and they had them listed as Novemeber. Then I checked yesterday and they are back to being listed as September 15th ARRRGH!

no they are not - new releases of any media (cinema excluded) are usually mondays

Any reason why Play is charging aprox £10 more for the two movie boxset over buying them both individually off the site?

Does the boxset have more content? Even if you add up the RRP for the two films (£22.99) it comes to less than the RRP for the boxset (£54.99)

I've just re-checked at amazon.co.uk the delivery dates for these titles.
  • Kill Bill Vol. 1: Delivery estimate: 4 Nov 2008 - 5 Nov 2008.
  • Kill Bill Vol. 2: Delivery estimate: 16 Sep 2008 - 18 Sep 2008.

Given that KBV1 is the more violent title in my opinion and that the US releases have not been delayed, I'm beginning to get suspicious that the BBFC have been up to their tricks again and that KBV1 has been cut. I have no evidence for this, just a nasty feeling going back to the days of LD. One title only being delayed looks very suspicious indeed.

Does anyone know if this is the case? (Insiders maybe!). Given my niggling doubts I may just cancel these and buy in from the USA.
