Default Sports Forum...?

Maybe its just me but I think this site could use a specific spot for Sports Discussion...There are a lot of knowledgeable fans here. Anyone else feel the same way?

Ehhh, I don't think so. Keep it in off-topic like how it is, is fine, I think - don't need ANOTHER forum. Besides, if we REALLY wanted to talk about sports, we'd go join the wackjobs over @ CBS sportsline or whatnot.

There are plenty of internet sports forums if those are the conversations you want to partake in.....this is Bluray.com, and while it may have forums dealing with car stereo etc, it is still wholly media/technology based. Like others are saying, I think sports are just fine in OT, which exists for anything that doesn't fall into the other categories (within the rules set forth of course...and even then I personally think there are far too many [i'm bored so I decided to create this thread today] topics )...

If you want to talk about a certain sport, why not use the social groups function so you can still have multiple discussions going on...it is kind of like its own forum that way

How is wrestling not a sport? I hope you are talking about WWE and not freestyl, Greco or collegiate wrestling as not being a sport

It would be nice, but I think the topics that are sports related get used every day almost so it pretty much which makes them easy to find.

Not necessary, but I'll take it if it comes.

Find me a Greco-Roman wrestling thread, and then you'll know the answer.

Jellybeans started a WWE thread, and I'm positive that's the type of wrestling he was referring to.

We already know how much you worship wrestling/MMA stuff, so there's no need to get into that all over again.

(For those who don't know, RockChalk started a thread asking what people thought the most demanding sport was, and if anyone ever said anything other than MMA, he insisted they were wrong... so much for asking opinions).

And I'm assuming this is the reason for getting so defensive about the word wrestling:

I like it how it is...no need for a separate forum, imo.

I remember that Most Demanding Sport thread! That was a classic!

I'm a sports fan as much as the next guy, but I don't think it should have a seperate sub-forum. If we start doing that, the next guy will request one for CARS or for STAMP COLLECTING.

This is Blu-ray.com......it's about issues/information relating to said technology. To expand outside of that would diminish it's value as the leading site for all things Blu-ray.

I agree with John on this. This bluray.com so if you open a door to sub forums then its a key to open other doors.

If I fit in with a thread.. I go right ahead and post. Glad there's sports threads here.

It's great to talk about movies all the time, but it's great to talk about sports occasionally too!
