Onkyo 606 no video from blu ray player

I have the onkyo 606 and samsung bdp1500 with a vizio 42 inch 1080p lcd
at first blu ray movies were showing fine as the blu ray was connected to the 606 then afterwards no picture
-I had tried master reset and played around with settings even called Onkyo and they told me to take it in for service which I did
-I brought it back home but still have the same issue
-I had tried even switching around the hdmi cables
-I had called back the place for service and they told me to bring back the receiver and my bluray player
-both worked
- I wonder if it can be some sort of handshake issue or can it be the hdmi cables even though they are working with the tv and cable box

I had the same issue, but I was getting audio, but no video. I brought it to shop, and was told there was no problem. I rechecked all my HMDI cables, and that was causing the problem. My HDMI cable was bad.

Ya my Onkyo 606 and my PS3 aren't getting along for some reason now. When the PS3 is in 480p, I get lines and signal drops. Or the PS3 loses the signal when watching DVDs, even upscaled . Changed the HDMI cables. Same problem. Blu-rays and PS3 games are fine. It doesn't happen when my PS3 is directly plugged into the TV. Also used component cables, no problem.

Satellite box runs through the Onkyo 606 > to the TV via HDMI, no problems. At any resolution.

Since my 606 is less than two years old, I'm going to bring in to a local Onkyo repair shop.

yeah I had taken mine into the shop even with my blu ray player
and they even showed everthing working, even on another blu ray player and a hd dvd player
I'm getting audio and video when the hdmi cables are going through the cable receiver

I might try and borrow my brothers blu ray player as well and test it. He has the sony 550

So I tried my brothers 550 and it works with no problem. So it looks like it is an issue with the Samsung bdp 1500

I also have the 1500. Didnt play all the bluray movies. I did the firmware upgrade, and she works great now.

The player has the last update. It just wasn't even staying on the Samsung startup screen for more then a few seconds and then on the tv it would show no signal

Ok I played a movie with my brothers player and right during the movie about half way started to do the no signal part and back to picture until it finally stayed at no signal
