When I bought my Blu player I did so with the understanding that the movies would be a bit higher in price than DVDs. Anytime a new format comes along that's the case.
However, when I can purchase a DVD in single-disc, double-disc, and sometimes three-disc versions at reasonable prices, I'm not given such options when it comes to Blu. I'm usually forced to buy the two-disc or three-disc version for, at times, more than twice the two-disc DVD version. As much as I love UP, I just can't justify paying $30 for two more discs that I just don't ever plan to use. And that's just one example, but Disney really is the worst when it comes to milking the customer for every nickel on it's products. Has anyone heard of any plans of the video industry to start selling single-disc Blu versions of new movies? |
