Default Will 2012 make one of best blu-ray video reference disk?

I know is way too early to said this, but just based on 2012 trailer, it seems to be this has the best gci even though the plot is quite dumb and bad acting, what is your opinion?

I'm sure it will. I have not been in the theaters since August and I plan on watching this at the theaters and buying this on Blu, so I'm sure the AQ/PQ would be amazing.

I'm sure it will make a good reference disc, but it looks to be an absolutely atrocious movie (imo). I'd rather have a good movie with great visuals/sound to show off then a bad movie with great visuals/sound to show off

I agree. This one hasn't been released yet and it's already starting to smell like The Day After Tomorrow. Cool visual effects but little to no story. I'm thinking this will make Transformers ROTF look like Spartacus.

All Roland Emmerich disaster movies follow thos formula:
Nerdy white guy has broken up with girlfriend or wife in the past. They just hate each other and doing everything to get out of each others way. Huge disaster comes. They get back together for 1 common cause and the people of earth survive.

YesExcept in this one it looks like most of the people die...There's a 5 minute clip available in hd from Apple and elsewhere where they show this family is about the only one to get out of LA as it slides into the sea...Then St. Peter's gets destroyed, etc...

Here it is from another site, I think, for the non-apple users out there:

No unless you mean reference as far as an over done disaster. We already have enough "reference " discs for sound and picture. To tell you the truth Blu-ray has been around long enough now that we can get rid of the whole reference quality phrase all together!!

Sorry John Cusack and "Reference Quality" just do not go with each other.

I actually do not think this will be a reference disc. At least not for PQ. Everything I've seen has made this film look like it's scrubbed of detail for some reason and is incredibly soft. Wether it's the HD encodes of the trailer or not, I don't know. But it seems weird that every trailer encode has had the same cheap look to it.

Plus there's the whole music video that is just so terrible it makes me want to cry. The lyrics don't even make sense... Actually most of what I've seen for this film doesn't make sense so nevermind.

the admins have been on the ball with that, i haven't seen any lately such as:

Thread title: Sopranos Season 1-5
Thread body: Any idea if this is coming out on BD?

Me while reading: jasdjsadqweiqjd**!*@DC!!

lol

with that said, this disaster flick looks like it will be incredible on BD, i imagine the sound mix will be solid.
