I got an email from Amazon that the release date for this has been moved up. Oct 16th I beleive.

Seems like Amazon pretty much always says region 2 or whatever...even if no the case!

It's a SONY release, they're always Region Free (like 98% are).

Is this going to have "forced" French subtitles?
I'm really only going to watch in English- so I don't want any subtitles on the picture. I heard Kill Bill had the "forced" so I stayed away...

since it is sony and not a local (french) editor, forced french subtittles are very very unlikely. (unless someone can give me a counter-example ?

The site says in Stock.. since 1 Oct.. at least I want to believe it

Got my boxset today...and NOT region-free!!! LOCKED to B!!!

The bookends are pretty nice, and about the same height as a blu-ray! I'll post pics tomorrow...off to Metallica tonight!
