Default LG LH3000 series

Hi everybody, firstly I want to apologize if this TV has been discussed already or that my questions are a little obvious/stupid, I'm fairly new to the concept of certain terminology and specification etc so please bare with me and help me out if you can...

Firstly, I was wondering if anybody has ever had an LG TV before and wether or not it has been a good purchase. I understand they are part of Philips which I understand to be a good make?!

I have been recently looking to be the 37" version of this range (LG 37LH3000) and have been getting to grips with all the specs, features and capabilities. One of the main things I picked up on was frame rate and contrast ration which I personally don't know much about. This TV runs at 50hz with 80,000:1 contrast ratio - is this any good for watching my Blu-Rays on? I know there are TVs out this with really high contrast ratio and frame rate but will this be sufficient for good quality playback??

Once again, apologies for my questions, I've been trying to read around the subject myself but would really appreciate your opinions/feelings/comments...

Thanks ;o)
