Default Film Posters

Forgive me if this isn't quite the right section for this thread. Anyway, I was wondering something from people who collect movie posters. Are they any movies that you absolutely love but when you looked at the poster with the intent of purchase you didn't like it? Too bland, too overcrowded, etc...

For me:

(Downey's head looks pasted on)

Any poster for "The Abyss" and its my favorite film

(I think some floating heads might have actually been better)

(This could have been good if the heads didn't look fake and Mulder didn't have a gun when he never used one in the film)

HATE that one but I did buy the blue one with Sulu and Chekov on it (should have been McCoy and Pike but w/e.

I'm sure there are more, but you get the point. What posters are out there that you wouldn't buy, even though you liked the film

I usually just buy posters of movies that I love - I'm up to 20 or so by now, most in my pool room, and I cycle them in and out of my media room every now and then - but yes, I am a little picky. I prefer theater-style posters with credits and all of that, but if the price is right, I could be persuaded otherwise - you can see what I have in my gallery, I recently added 300, Quantum of Solace, Incredibles, and Star Trek.

Those are great poster display cases! Where did you find those?

Came with them. Check your Blockbuster - they sell the matte framed ones. All the ones with reflective screens are just posters I bought individually then used cheap-o Walmart frames for.

Ah I'm using poster hangers that slide over top and bottom but one day intend to replace with cases or frames. Bought a frame at a Suncoast/FYE store once and it's dimensions were not quite 27x40 as it said so it was crushing an original poster. Then they wouldn't accept a damn return. That experience has left me paranoid
