Perfect for the format as well. Filmed in Mass. in autumn, fantastic set design, and the look is very period oriented in that films shot in the early to mid 90's often had a similar photographic look.

Day one without a doubt. I love this movie and watch it quite a bit, especially around Halloween.

I seriously cannot wait for Hocus Pocus to come out on Blu-ray; it's one of my favorite films ever and I love to watch it around Halloween. I wish October would come sooner so I could snatch this up and finally see it with an anamorphic transfer

I remember having saw a "Movie Magic" behind-the-scene featurette. They were showing the CG animation of the cat's mouth and the SFX shot in the graveyard with the flying witches. I'm sure it will not be on the BD, but it would have be nice!

This is great news! Hocus Pocus is one of my favorite childhood films that I am not ashamed to say is making it on to my favorite films of all time list. I watch this film every fall/halloween season and even at other times during the year I just love it plus Halloween is one of my favorite times of year so this movie is a perfect fit for me. The Blu-ray will be a day 1 purchase and it will be great to finally see it in anamorphic widescreen.

love this movie.. saw it in the theater as a kid and have the vhs..cool to see abc family showing it all the time..

Also, everytime I see the scene when they enter/escape the Witches' House, we can see a museum panel with the House Map... I wish the map were in the special features or available somewhere on the web!
