does enyone have this receiver?its 539.00 on amazon right now is it a good deal?

I think it is the Canadian version of the VXS-03 or 23. At that price, its a pretty nice deal. It would have everything you would want in a receiver...plenty of connectivity, power and excellent sound processing, not to mention the 9 band EQ of MCACC.....I would recommend this receiver to anyone at that price point.

Seems like a pretty good deal. I'd be a little concerned about the HDMI inputs since there is only 3. Have you checked others in this price range to compare?

i just called 6ave.com and asked about the pioneer elite VSX-21TXH and it 449.00 free shipping no tx.This would be the better choice right

Don't know much about it. Pioneer is a good brand to look into. For comparison reasons, I'd look into the same price point for Denon, Marantz, Onkyo and Yamaha. I'm currently looking into Marantz myself, as I've heard great things and haven't owned one yet. Good luck!!

I would say yes, as long as you got their warranty. Pioneer doesn't offer its warranty on its Elites when sold online, other than through them. Usually, if you order by phone with 6th Ave, you can get their 2 or 3 years warranty.....if you can get that, then I would say $449 for the 21 is an excellent deal.

Correct, with the Elite models, all bets are off when purchasing it online in getting Pioneer to honor their warranty from 6th Ave. I purchased the unit on the phone. I got my SC-05 from 6th Ave this way back in June.....and I got a 3 year warranty from 6th Ave thrown in for a little bit extra.
