Does anyone know if they are going to release the first Resident Evil on Blu-Ray?

There's no official announcement/release date for it as of yet. Considering the third movie is coming out this year, I would bet they will release it when that comes out in theaters if not on blu ray.

Ahh, thanks. I'm really looking forward to this as I didn't like the second one too much.

They've shown packaging for the first Res Evil (along with loads of other films) at Trade shows, but no real info yet.

I'd buy first one for sure. I got RE 2, and I'll certainly get RE 3 when it comes out on blu. Not the greatest movies ever but good action/sci-fi flicks.

It is getting really annoying how they keep releasing the sequels before the originals. Underworld 2, Resident Evil 2, Mi:3 before releasing the the first 2 out of a box set. C'mon, the originals are the reason we even started to like the series.
