Glad this has the MST3K episode for those who missed out on XXXIV.

Also, what's holding that volume up from a reissue? Only problem it had what Susan Hart *****ing about them mentioning the films she has rotting away in her basement in a bonus documentary about American International Pictures..

so basically a bare bones release to me. Having a bonus that mocks/makes fun of a movie I like is not something that has any value to me.

$26 for LE 1500 run of a bare bones release. Is this where we are at in physical media?

Ugh.

Is there something wrong with The Undead? The single-version is OOP too, and remaining copies seem to have been liquidated to Dollar Tree.

Think they're just giving up on those single editions. Zombie Nightmare's OOP too but the set with it is still in print.

What's going OOP? Standalone editions of movies fearured on MST3K? Maybe the sales just aren't there, if most of the fanbase only knows / wants the movie via the show.

Some MST3K sets and single-disc DVD editions are OOP, not the stand-alone Blu-rays for the movies. The Undead was released as a single and Vol XXXIV but both are out of print.

Shout usually tries to keep as much MST in print as they can, so I'm wondering why they'd let The Undead completely go unless there was a rights problem. If it wasn't for that then the only episode from XXXIV out of circulation would be Viking Women. edit: just remembered their Blu-ray for War of the Colossal Beast didn't include the MST episode. Weird.

At least you can purchase it. As I'm outside the US, I have missed out on this, The Brain Eaters, Day the World Ended, Deathsport, and Attack of the Crab Monsters. It's very frustrating, as these films are unlikely to get wider release. THe Brain Eaters hasn't even sold out!

This is a little weak on the special Features. More interested in The Flesh Eaters (released the same day as The She Creature):

Then I can retire my Dark Sky Films release.

^^ Ya, THE FLESH EATERS may not have the best original poster art (and I'm being nice), but it is a million times more of a thrill-ride (gory, sleazy, sick) than The She Creature, which is just the usual Arkoff dud, pretty dull. I'm buying it as well, of course. I love all these old monster flicks.

But ya, don't let The She Creature's flashy cover art distract you from the much better film here. The Flesh Eaters is really something else, not your usual by-the-numbers generic old monster movie! Blind buy material for sure!

Pair it up with She Creature and get your free shipping.

Pre-ordered both, The She Creature and The Flesh Eaters. This should make for a fun 50's classic horror movie night. Can't wait to receive these !

They'll sell all 1500 copies and make 40K+ . It's the only way they make money on this stuff. FOMO has something to do with it but they're not going to move inventory at $15 or even $20 as a "regular" release (non-LE). People would just wait for sales. The smaller the runs, the higher the prices = more money.

.i'm ordering this from Europe and using a send-on address in the USA which will then forward the parcel to my country... i wonder how Shout will handle the packaging of a 24 by 18 inch rolled up poster with 2 blu-rays...i imagine it would have to be sent separately in a tube , as a rolled up poster might possibly get crushed in standard packaging...

I believe the poster is actually folded rather than rolled.

That is correct. While their collector's edition posters are sent in tubes, the posters for these limited editions have been folded.

They could have at least thrown the bloody trailer on there. Always the most important extra. I’ll take it over unfunny commentary by would-be comedians any day.

I pre-ordered SHE-CREATURE the day it announced. I have the old double-feature DVD where it accompanies DAY THE WORLD ENDED. The image in that release is very poor and washed-out with little contrast in darks and lights. I'm counting on this blu-ray to be substantially better, in spite of the fact that nothing's being said about the quality of the film's transfer. Great cover, by the way! It's hard to beat the artwork on those old sci-fi/horror movie posters. That's part of the fun. And I always liked the play on the title: She-Creature / Sea Creature.
