Default 1080P Christmas gift for the folks, suggestions please.
Ok I decided I wanted to bring my parents into the Blu Ray 1080P world of HD for Christmas this year. I'm not sure what to get them. My budget for the TV and Blu Ray player is around $2K.

Both my parents need a big screen cause their vision is not the best. I'm looking at 50"+
I don't want to get them crap but I'm not about to spend $5k.

I know they want the Internet Connect ability, but does it matter if it is available on the TV or the Blu Ray player?

I'm not even sure whether to go Plasma or LCD.

So I'm asking for some good suggestions. I have been on this site the past month trying to do as much research as possible and there is a lot of information out there.
