Madden 10 control question/problem

Hey guys, I've been away from the forums a while. But I have a question...

My brother and I just started playing Madden 10. We only play co-op franchise games (offline). When we play defense, sometimes his player, at the snap of the ball, does the hit stick move. Our controls are fine. We even turned off the motion detection option.

Does anyone have this problem too? If not, no big deal. It just get's frustrating when he's a CB and the hit stick puts him 5 yards behind the WR.

And I am surprised at how good Madden is this year. 08 and 09 we're HORRIBLE!!
