Onkyo 705 Remote Control Question - Blu-ray Forum

I just got an Onkyo 705 and was programming the remote to control my DirecTV HD DVR. It worked, but I can't seem to get the guide to come up with the Onkyo remote, not even with the button marked "guide". Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to get the guide to come up? Thanks for your help.

try programming it. theres a way to make a button learn a function for something else. check your manual or look at onkyos site for a downloadable manual

I have the exact same rig. I had to have the Onkyo learn the guide button. You can assign it to the button labeled guide. The procedure is pretty easy. It's in the manual.
