Well, they are normally 16bit dolby true.. like with batman begins/dark knight etc that they have released. I guess that because we can count on Sony to give us a good mix, they have mimiced it so they don't look bad in comparison maybe..

That's the 2-disc DVD version for $31.84. The 2-disc Blu-ray is $28.98 and is the standard release which is still a great price. Target has it for $29.99 and JB will no doubt have it in store for $29.98.

Yeah, they always do that it seems. Same with Big W. Until the actual catalogue start day (Thursday) my local Big W sells the titles at the higher price (ie Star Trek was $37 and Fast and Furious was $35) and then they sell them at the $28.98/$29.98 price. That's when JB magically does their price drop to meet the other retailers so they actually sell some titles. The only one I can recall that they didn't do this for lately was Transformers 2. Everyone had it at the $30 mark (Big W, JB and Target) right from when they put it on the shelves early. They seem to catch the super keen people out that way by making a few extra $ from them because they want it before actual release date.

Was $39.95 when I saw it at JB HiFi, got mine instead at Video-Ezy for $34.95 but it was only one-disc, no digital copy was included. Still Digital Copies are really useless to me.

I am in two minds what to do about this title, I am looking forward to watching it again. Having read the review it sounds like a great disc but what about the rumoured 30-40 minute longer cut that the director Mc Idiot talked about a while back? Will they release an EXTENDED DIRECTORS CUT in 6 months ?

Just want to put it on record that while we get one less disc than the USA (They split their cuts onto separate discs) - we do NOT lose out on quality with our branching version.

The PQ and AQ were 10/10 in my book. And from what I can tell, there are no less features than the USA version.

which jb in perth did you go to? Success is usually good, every new blu release is usually 29.98, and big-w is just next door to pricematch ...then sanity is around the corner too

McG never talked about a directors cut that was 30-40 minutes longer, he merly said there was 30 to 40 mintues of deleted scenes that he hoped to include (much like as was with The Incredible Hulk).

JB HiFi Joondalup, that was late monday though. It was around $40. Ended up going around the corner to Video-Ezy Currambine and they had it for $34.95. Got it for that price. It didn't have a Digital Copy included but Torrents fixed that little problem. Got to watch it the following day after a busy morning, BIGW catalogue hadn't come aswell yet. Went to JB there today and its now $29.98 meh thought didnt care!

Did have one little issue with my Samsung Player, it just froze 20mins in rather than a skip, quick skip a few frames back and it went through smoothly, also replayed the same chapter no issue so hopefully it was a once off.
