Here we'll make our opinions on various things pertaining to movies that we feel very strongly about, but others may be lax in realizing.

1. Jackie Brown is Quentin Tarantino's best film to date. Yes, even better than Pulp Fiction.

2. Ben Affleck gets way too much flack, and is actually a decent actor given the right role. Some great examples of this are Chasing Amy, Bounce and Good Will Hunting.

3. Robert Downey Jr. deserved the Oscar for Less Than Zero and at least a Nomination for Two Girls & A Guy, but those roles seem to be too close to his real life, so he doesn't get credit for them.

4. Carnivale was highly underrated and criminally cancelled before it could finish. A Plague on HBO's houses for cancelling it.

5. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Ryan Gosling may be two of the greatest actors we've ever seen, and they're pretty much just getting started. I predict multiple Oscars in their future. Their performances in Manic and The United States of Leland, respectively, were just flat out ignored by the masses and it's a shame.

6. The fact that Children of Men was only nominated for two minor Oscars instead of Best Picture and Director is a crime against humanity, and goes to show that truly brilliant filmmaking is rarely rewarded.
