Default Pioneer Rep can't work it out - maybe you guys can (AMP issue)

Hey guys,

With quite a few blu-ray movies, my amplifier is sending the left channel of audio to the right and the right to the left. The sound is crossed

AMP - Pioneer VSX-LX60

Eg. Terminator salvation - REALLY obvious when the ship flies john connor over the ocean just before he dives into the water so the sub marine can pick him up - the plane does a fly-by the screen, left to right, but the speakers do the opposite.

Eg. 2 Inglorious Basterds - Super obvious when a door opens (just outside of the camera shot) on the left side of the screen, but all the sound comes out of the opposite side....

I have countless examples with other discs as well. I also noticed it in Band of Brothers, Top Gun and a couple others too - Some discs seem to be ok, but again, sometimes I can't tell... The Fifth element seems to work fine though...

Anyone know why this would be happening??? - and YES I have definitely checked the cable is plugged into the correct left and right speaker terminals at the back of the amp.

I am playing them through a 40GB PS3 - just a direct PCM stream signal into the amp with no THX settings, just direct sound.
