Default BD Concert ?

Was shopping yeterday and was looking at some concerts. All I can think about after watching The Police.

Which AC/DC to get? Donington or No Bull

Which B.B. King Live or Montreux ?

Also looking at Bon Jovi Madison Square Garden, from what I saw on youtube, it seems to be the crowd singing more than the band, has anyone seen it?

I like concerts but I want to hear the band playing or singing. I don't want to hear the crowd singing half of the song or listen to the artist talking, I have som Jazz Channel DVDs and some of those are terrible for all the chit chat. Heard B.B. King Live has a lot, haven't heard about Montreux.

I have both AC/DC BDs but I have to say that Donington was my favorite of the two you listed.

Hey everyone,

There is a new Blu-ray that came out and if you are a U2, Led Zeppelin and White Stripes fan, check out the recent release of "It Might Get Loud". On sale on Amazon.com right now but audio for that release is awesome! Has some old school concert footage of the three bands but when Jimmy Page, The Edge, and Jack White get together to just jam together (no rehearsal) just jam....oh man...it sounds spectacular. If you are into electric guitar....what a wonderful release!

Stones, Shine A Light rocks. And I still say Justin Timberlake's Future Sex Love Sound @ MSG is good.

The B.B.King Live disc does have some audience participation and BB himself is a bit of a chatterbox, but it isn't distracting at all. In a club venue setup like this it actually works very well.

Here's a list of some of my Faves:

Chris Botti: Live with Orchestra & Special Guests (PCM 5.1, DD 5.1, DD 2.0)
Dave Mattews and Tim Reynolds: Live At Radio City (Dolby True HD 5.1, DD 5.1, PCM 2.0)
David Gilmour: Remember That Night - Live At The Royal Albert Hall (Dolby True HD 5.1, DD 5.1, PCM 2.0)
Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood: Live From Madison Square Garden (DTS 5.1, PCM 2.0)
Legends Of Jazz: Showcase - With Ramsey Lewis (Dolby TRue HD 5.1, DD 5.1, PCM 2.0)
Roy Orbison: Black & White Night (DTS-HD MA 5.1, DD 5.1, LPCM 2.0)
Stevie Wonder: Live At Last. A Wonder Summer's Night (DTS-HD MA 5.1, DD 5.1, PCM 2.0)
The Police: Certifiable - Live In Buenos Aires (Dolby TrueHD 5.1, Dolby TrueHD 2.0)

Hi Travis,

No I haven't, so I have no idea how good/bad the AQ/PQ is, or the performance for that matter.

A couple more of my favorites;
Yes, Live at Montreux. Steve Howe & Rick Wakeman are awesome to watch.
Jethro Tull, Live at Montreux. Ian Anderson is not as wild as he used to be but still fun to watch.

I still have to get that, but I can't find it anywhere locally. I should check the online pricing for it.

Just an FYI. I Have & Love it. But according to the guys at quadraphonicquad it's not real. Pure studio sound, with piped in applause between tracks.

If allowed & requested - I'll post a link.

+1

Out of all the BR concerts I have listened to, this one is at the top for AQ..........the studio mix that is.....have not listened to the feature film mix yet. This one is a must IMO.
