This Ghibli masterpiece is coming to blu ray in november (19). It will feature 1080 with a Japanese DTS HD MA 5.1 track. Probably only Dutch and French subtitles. No news on extra features.

Do you have a link to the announcement? I thought Studio Ghibli stated that Japan will be the first to see their films on Blu-ray Disc.

They did the same thing in Mexico with howl's moving castle.. it is an upscaled version only

No, Ghibli would not use an upscale for their version.

Well... I don't have it, as it is just an upscaled version. I have not seen any reviews of it. What I have read on another forum is that it not great (f.e. aliasing).
