Default Spirited Killer Trilogy - Panna Rittikrai & Tony Jaa

I was at Wal-Mart and I was looking through the cheap DVDs and I found the "SPIRITED KILLER TRILOGY" DVD for $5. The case is all images of Jaa and yet he's only in Spirited Killer for about 5 minutes and then
[Show spoiler]he gets killed
. Also, the dubbing is HILARIOUS! Tony Jaa's dubbing has probably the greatest line ever. And you can see it on Youtube.

The dubbing is really f'ing crazy. To me, it is so bad it's legendary now. The trilogy only has the first film dubbed. The other two films are in Thai with English subs. I don't even think the subtitles are even accurate at all either. Oddly, the second and third film has subtitles but the first film doesn't.

Question

Speaking of Tony Jaa, I'm watching The Protector for the first time. Haven't seen any of his other films. Is it just me, or is this film a total mess plot-wise? I'm about 40 min. into it and it seems like 2 different movies so far.

I haven't seen Ong Bak 2 yet. But the two stories in The Protector pretty much merge as Tony is looking for his elephants.

Thumbs down

I should have known when the Weinstein logo popped-up at the beginning of the film that something would go wrong. Did a little searching and it looks like they cut-out around 30 minutes for the U.S. version. Good God.......

Yeah, I believe the uncut Thai version is on the US DVD too if I am not mistaken.

LOL, it's a trip! I didn't really dig the second and third film on the DVD since they were only subtitled. That dubbing is awesome. It was worth the $5 alone. Plus the royal ass beatings that Panna Rittikrai delivers.

The plot is a complete mess. If you think about it to much your brain will explode.
