Default Top Gun Blu-ray to have uncompressed PCM?
Paramount announced that the Blu Ray release of Top Gun was going to have a Dolby Digital EX mix and a DTS ES mix. While they are great on DVD a lot of people including me wanted an uncompressed PCM track for the Blu Ray. Recently Paramount announced that they would support the new audio codecs. I was wondering if they were going to release Top Gun with the DD EX and DTS ES mix only or were they planning on adding an uncompressed PCM track to the list of audio options. Usually I don't like to see releases get pushed back but if pushing it back gets us better audio I say go for it.
