Laptop Computer/Windows Vista problem!

Maybe some people that are better w/ computers can help me w/ this. My Toshiba Laptop has strange habit of popping up the same window(I have Windows Vista) over and over after I attempt to close it, has anybody experienced the same thing? The only was to stop it is to turn the computer off. This only happens once in a blue moon. Any suggestions?

Is it for the same program over and over or a different program each time it happens?

Same, like when I try to close Amazon for example, the same Amazon window pop's up over and over and cant be stopped, only by shutting down the computer and restarting it is the only way to stop it. Like i said this very seldom happens.

What does the popup window say?

Or is it just popping up the Internet Explorer over and over?

Does it pop up a ton of them {multiple windows?} or just one when you close it down?

I think a bit more info is required before people start chiming in with 'your problems are that you're using a Toshiba laptop with Vista on it' *LOL*

Have you tried to end the process for that particular application in Task Manager?
